The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** William Richard (Dick), 86, was born December 20, 1899 in Baird, Texas to Joseph Hoyle and Octavia Alice Cobb and passed from this life Wednesday, March 5, 1986, in the Cheyenne Convalescent Home following an extended illness. He moved with his parents as a child to Texola. On November 27, 1917, he was married to Mable Glynn Bowman in Mayfield, Oklahoma. They continued to live in Texola until 1927 when they moved to Roll to make their home. Mr. Cobb was a retired farmer and rancher. Those who preceded him in death were his parents; his wife, who passed away in 1969; 1 brother; 2 sisters, and 1 son. Survivors include on daughter, Mary Frances Foster, of Chandler, Oklahoma; one son, Fred Cobb, of Strong City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Buford Cobb of Shamrock, Texas, and Charles Cobb of Lewisville, Texas, and one sister, Irene Howell of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services were conducted Firday, March 7, 1986, in the Magnolia Baptist Church of Crawford, Oklahoma with Clyde Denney and A.L. Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Pallbearers were Woodrow Barber, Leroy Bowers, Harold Hubbard, Hoover Jones, Ike Lucas and Claude Peck.
