Copeland SHAMROCK - L.B. Copeland, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in Pampa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Marion Frye of Ada, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Copeland was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Shamrock. He had lived in Shamrock all his life and owned Copeland Ditch Witch Service until his retirement in July 1994. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church. He married Ada Lucille Shipman on Dec. 22, 1935, in Erick, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife in October 1999; a son, Carroll Copeland; a granddaughter, Angel Copeland; and a great-grandson, Tristan Copeland. Survivors include four sons, Don Copeland and Steve Copeland, both of Pampa, Grant Copeland of White Deer, and Johnny Copeland of Perryton; three daughters, Nancy Wright of Mena, Ark., Linda Garris of Smoaks, S.C., and Pat Jones of Stephenville; a brother, Garland Copeland of Manteca, Calif.; a sister, Bernice Ray Isaacs of Hawthorne, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
