Thelma married Thomas Carter Cox on May 19, 1928 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. They lived in the Grimes Community until World War II. They lived in ft. Riley, Kansas, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Manhattan, kansas. They lived in Fort Carson, Colorado until his retirement, when they moved to Fountain, Colorado. They later moved to Chickasah and Midwest City, Oklahoma before moving to Sayre in 1990 to make their home. She was a member of the Soldier Creek Baptist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, 3 daughters, 6 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors are 1 daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Ira Isch, Edmond, Oklahoma; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Otis Lee and Agnes Cox, Norman, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Edith Marie Hamilton, Sacr5amento, California; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2000 at the Rose chapel officiated by Ray Smart. Interment was int he Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
