Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road, with Randy Voight, pastor of Victory Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Brewster was born on the edge of the Matador Ranch in Paducah, Cottle County. He lived in and around Mangum, Okla., before coming to Amarillo in 1948. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie, in 1984. Survivors include his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Lameda Robbins of Amarillo; two sons, Bobby Brewster and Jerry Brewster, both of Hughes Springs; a stepson, Jon Voight of Amarillo; two brothers, J.A. Brewster of Mangum, Okla., and Bill Brewster of Wichita Falls; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, July 28, 2002
