This section of the country lost one of it's oldest and best beloved citizens with the passing of Reverend Joe ARMBRUSTER.He has been a resident of this county 53 years.He came here with his father ,brothers and sisters from near Duncan,Oklahoma in 1886. He was for years a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.He was Loyal to that organization while an active member.Before his illness he was active in all community affairs.He had served for more than 15 years on the school board of his community. Mr.ARMBRUSTER underwent a major operation at St.Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City on December 16,1933,and for some time seemed to enjoy health to some extent although he was never well,All through his illness he had the patience to endure without murmuring. ******* Joseph A.ARMBRUSTER,county resident for 28 years,died early Saturday at his home five miles east and two south of town after a lingering illness of two years. Funeral rites were conducted at the Carter Methodist church by Rev.J.L.DAVIS assisted by Rev.FRENCH Sunday afternoon.Interment was made in the Carter cemetery by WELLS-HULLUM funeral directors. The deceased is survived by his wife,Mrs.Nora ARMBRUSTER,a daughter,Evideen,and two sons,J.A. and Delma,all of the home.Other survivors are a foster daughter,Mrs.Alma May KING,Carter;a brother,Will,Big Springs,Neb.,and three sisters,Mrs.Frona JILGIE,Harrah;Mrs.Elza COFFMAN,Oregon,and Mrs.Anna BATCHLER,Erick and two grandchildren.
