BARRETT, BERTHA E.
(11 Oct 1918, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Mrs. Homer Barrett of Carter, died at her home in the eastern part
of town Tuesday afternoon, of pneumonia, following an attack of that
dreaded disease, Spanish Influenza.
Mrs. Barrett and her husband had both been right ill with the disease for
several days and he had gotten over the effects of it when she was taken
with pneumonia, and from that time on to the evening of her death her
condition was regarded as critical.
Interment took place at the Carter cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
The Express family extends to the bereaved husband our sincere sympathy in
the loss of his loving companion.
