BARRETT, ONEY
(20 Feb 1914, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Died - After a few days illness with Pneumonia, Mrs. George Barrett, who
resided with her husband and children on a farm six miles northwest of
Carter, died Thursday night of last week and her remains were laid to rest
in the Carter cemetery Friday afternoon.  Before her death Mrs. Barrett
picked out the songs she wished sung at her funeral, selected H. E. Kenny
to preach the funeral and Dr. McDonald, of Sayre, to lead the music, so we
are informed.  Mrs. Barrett was a good Christian woman, a loving wife and
devoted mother.  She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss.
 We join the friends of Mr. Barrett and his children in offering
condolence and sincere sympathy in this their darkest hour of trouble.
