BONIFIELD, ROBERT PERRY
(11 May 1928, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. R. P. Bonifield, a prominent farmer living just north of town, died at
his home last Friday about noon.  Mr. Bonifield's death came very suddenly
as the result of a stroke of paralysis.  He had not been in extra good
health for some time yet he was up and able to get about and his sudden
passing away came as a severe shock to his family, relatives and friends.
Mr. Bonifield had only lived near Carter for about a year yet this was
long enough that he had made many friends among the people of Carter and
surrounding communities.  He purchased the home where he was living at the
time of his death, from Mr. W. J. Cossey.
The remains were shipped to Bridgeport, Texas, for interment, that place
being the former home of Mr. Bonifield.
