All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BRODRICK, GEORGE THOMAS (The Carter Express, Carter Beckham, Ok, 22 Apr 1932) Pioneer Settler Passes Away Thursday. Final rites for Mr. Tom Broderick (sic), pioneer settler of this section, were read Thursday at 4 pm at the Methodist church in Carter with Rev Abbott of Elk City officiating. Burial was made in the Carter cemetery with Littrell-Moore funeral directors in charge. Mr. Broderick passed away at his home here early Thursday morning after an illness of about 6 weeks. His death was caused by cancer of the stomach. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife; two sons; Claude of Colorado and Fred of Carter; three daughters: Mrs. Alice Thrower, Misses Ludie and Cleo all of Carter and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Broderick has made his home in this part of Oklahoma for the past 30 years coming here from Nocona, Texas.
