P. Ensey of the Retrop community, died at her home Sunday night, of heart trouble and complications. Mrs. Ensey was stricken down while at church just a week prior to her death and for a while it was thought she would pass away at that time but she revived and although her condition was very grave throughout the entire week she survived until Sunday night. We are informed that she seemed better on Saturday before her death. The funeral was held at the Ensey home, Revs. Ellis of Retrop and Carson of Carter conducting the funeral rites. The remains were laid away in the Retrop cemetery Monday afternoon, a very large crowd being present. Besides her husband she leaves other near relatives as follows: one son about 15, father, two brothers and four sisters. Mrs. W. E. Hunt of Carter was a sister-in-law of the deceased. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
