GAMBLIN, S. L.
(4 Feb 1921, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. B. D. Griggs received a message on Thursday evening of last week
announcing the death of Mr. S. L. Gamblin at Amarillo, his death occurring
at about noon that day.  He had been very low for several days before the
final end.
Mr. Gamblin was well known in and around Carter, he having run the hotel
here for a number of years.  He had many friends while in Carter, in fact
everbody (sic) always seemed to have a good word for him.  He was in bad
health when he lived here, and had undergone one or two serious
operations.
Deceased left a wife and a number of children, the children being all
married.
