GILBERT, MABEL
(24 Jan 1919, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Mr. Mabel Gilbert of Joy, Texas, died at Carter last Saturday
evening of complications following influenza.
Mr. Gilbert was up here from Texas visiting his mother and sister and
after being here only a few days contracted the fatal malady, which has
brought death and sorrow to so many thousands of homes in our country this
winter.
The remains were shipped back to his home in Texas for interment.
We join their many friends in extending sympathy to the family in their
hour of sorrow.
