JORDAN, CHARLES
(9 Feb 1912, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. Charles Jordan, who has been in the real estate business, having made
several deals for a big land firm on the southern coast country of Texas,
residing at Carter, died very suddenly Thursday at a farm house 6 miles
northwest of town.  It is believed that he had been drinking heavily some
time prior to his death, and some parties say this was probably the cause
of his untimely demise.  His brother of Oklahoma City, came in  latter
part of the week and returned with his remains for interment.  He had many
friends about Carter, who were shocked at his sudden death, and offer
sympathy to his brother and sisters.  He had at one time been married, but
his wife is dead.
