F. Lowrance, one mile south of Carter, on Friday, Oct. 8th. Mrs. Lowrance was past 77 years of age and was stricken with paralysis just eleven days prior to her death. Everything that could be done to stay the ravages of the disease and to relieve her suffering was done but her condition continued to grow worse, such relief as was accomplished only proving to be temporary. Her age likely made it more difficult for her to overcome the disease. The deceased did not have any children of her own, but she raised several step-children whom she loved as her own and who loved her as a mother. It was with one of these, Mr. J. F. Lowrance, that she was making her home at the time of her death. Besides those relatives already mentioned Mrs. Lowrance leaves several grand-children, two nieces and one nephew, to mourn her passing away. (Note: Buried Spring Creek Cemetery; has listed as Isabelle Lowrance) --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
