NICHOLSON, MRS. N. J.
(2 Nov 1928, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
After two weeks of intense suffering Mrs. N. J. Nicholson died at her home
near Carter Thursday of last week at one o'clock p.m.  She had lived there
for twelve years and was well known.  She was an active worker in the
Retrop Baptist church, of which she had been a member many years.
She is survived by five sons and two daughters, as follows:
C. A. and L. H. Nicholson of Oklahoma City; J. W. Nicholson of Artesia, N.
M.; Jimmie and Herschel Nicholson, Mrs. E. E. Carrol, and Miss Bessie
Nicholson of Carter.  She also leaves two brothers, Ernest Brewer of
Little Rock, Ark., and Doshie Brewer of St. Joseph, La., and one sister,
Mrs. J. W. Purvis, of Wynnewood.  All of her children and their families
were present at her burial, which took place at the Poarch cemetery.
