POARCH, JANE N.
(25 Jun 1920, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Grandma Poarch Dies.
Mrs. Jane Poarch, wife of Uncle Bud Poarch, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. E. C. Simmons at Hammon, Okla., on Thursday of last week,
paralysis being the cause of her death.  She had been in failing health
for some time but was taken worse rather suddenly.  She was seventy nine
years old at the time of her death.  A large crowd of relatives and
friends were present at the Carter cemetery Friday afternoon attending the
funeral services which were held there.
--Uncle Bud Poarch returned from Hammon, where he had been for several
weeks, to attend the funeral of his wife, last Friday.  Uncle Bud has been
almost helpless since suffering a severe stroke of paralysis several
months ago.
