POARCH, JOSIAH F.
(22 Sep 1922, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Uncle Bud Poarch, an old settler of this country, died at the home of his
son, Walker Poarch, here in Carter, early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Poarch had suffered a stroke of paralysis about three years ago from
which he had never recovered and since that time his health has been very
bad and he has not been able to get around any.  On Monday morning he was
taken seriously ill again and continued sinking till the end came Tuesday
morning following.
Uncle Bud was an old Confederate soldier and used to delight in talking
about old times during the war.
He leaves several children, all of whom are married and have families of
their own.
