Mrs. Emma L. Pryor, died at her home northeast of Carter, Thursday morning and was buried at the Ural cemetery at 4 o'clock Friday evening. Mrs. Pryor was 64 years old at the time of her death. She has lived in the Sadler community for a great number of years and was loved by all who knew her. (16 Apr 1920, Elk City Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Emma L. Pryor was born in Rusk county, Texas, in the year 1856. From that place she moved with her husband to Van Zant county, where she obeyed the Gospel of Christ. She and her husband, who departed this life six years ago, came to Oklahoma in the year 1890. On the morning of last Thursday, March (April) 8, she passed to her rest, having lived a Christian. She was the mother of seven children, five of whom are still living. Her body was buried in the Ural cemetery, six miles south of town on the day of her death. Frank L.
