Mrs. (3 Dec 1915, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK): GRANDMA ROGERS DIES Mrs. M. A. Rogers, who was generally known throughout the country as "Grandma Rogers," died at the home of her son-in-law, Tom Copp, on Monday, Nov. 29th of Bright's Disease. She had been sick for a long time and on account of her advanced age and the serious disease with which she was afflicted her death was not unexpected by her relatives and friends. Her remains were laid to rest in the Carter cemetery at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. McIntyre conducting the burial rites. A large crowd of relatives and friends were present at the cemetery to pay their last respects to the memory of a well spent and useful life. The Express joins her many friends in Carter and throughout the country in expressing our sympathy and condolence to the bereaved relatives. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
