(20 Jul 1917, Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY
It was wisely planned in the days of creation that every living soul
created in the image of the Holy Father should dwell only for a short
season on earth, for the peace of the soul could not be contented or
satisfied so near sin and sorrow.
With little Laura A. Street, few indeed were the days here.  She was born
Jan. 31, 1915, and passed away Saturday morning early, July 14th, 1917,
after suffering with cholera infantum as no one will ever know.
Dr. Denby, mother, father and loved ones, ministered to her every need.
Everything done by human hands would not stay the voice from above that
said, "Come unto me little one and I will give thee peace and rest."
Let not one of us grieve the going of little Laura.  Though her voice is
hushed in the grave her little spirit says; "Papa, mamma, brothers and
loved ones, come unto me in peace."  Friends all, heed the pleading of her
spirit.  One who loved her.
