TINDELL, MARY (MARTIN)
(The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham, Ok: 5 Jun 1925)
Died.
Death has again claimed one of our aged citizens.  Grandma Tindell, wife
of J. T. Tindell, died at their home here in Carter on last Saturday
morning, May 30.
Mrs. Tindell had been in poor health for some time and during the last few
weeks had grown worse, but her condition was not considered so serious and
her death which was due to heart trouble and complications came very
sudden and unexpected.
It was a great shock to her husband for during the past few years it has
been he who was ill so much and she who had nursed him so tenderly.
Rev. A. B. Carson, Pastor of the Methodist Church and an old friend of the
family, was in Oklahoma City but came home to conduct the funeral which
was held at the Methodist Church on Sunday evening where a large crowd was
present to pay their last respects to the long life of service of their
friend and neighbor.  Interment was made in the Carter cemetery.
Mrs. Tindell leaves besides her companion a number of children and
grandchildren who have the sympathy of the entire community in their
bereavement.
