(28 Jun 1918, Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Death of Mrs. White
Grandma White, mother of Mrs. J. Q. Hoy died at the home of her daughter,
Tuesday, the 25th inst.  Mrs. White had just come from Henderson county,
Texas, arriving on last Friday, making the trip of about 400 miles
overland in a car with her son, Bob White.  She seemed well and enjoyed
the trip but in a few hours she became unconscious and remained in that
state until she died, on Tuesday about noon.  Mrs. White was once a
resident of this country and lived here until the death of her husband, a
pioneer minister of this country, a few years ago.  She has many friends
here who will join us in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
