OK - OBIT: Martha"Mattie"Palestine (Rowell )Dalton Submitted by: Jearldene Hodde blank@n-link.com Memorial Obituary -Entered Into Eternal Rest Thursday,July 13,1905 Martha P.DALTON.The subject of this sketch,was the daughter of William J.ROWELL and Martha L.(Terrell)ROWELL,and the wife of Tenvil Washington DALTON.She was born September 22nd,1876.At the age of fifteen,she was converted and united with the Missionery Baptist Church,and in 1897,she united with the Free Will Baptist Church,and lived a consistent,Christian life,up to the end of her race,being filled with the Glory of God.She was united in marriage with T.W.DALTON December 25th.1892.To their union was born six children,five of which are living to mourn her loss,some of which are to young to remember a Mothers love.How hard it seems to us that such things should occur,but let us not question the Justice of him who doeth all things well.Bro.DALTON,her Husband and the dear little ones who can recolect her motherly care,will miss her more than any.But her aged Father and Mother ,will miss her greeting,and kind welcome,when they visit the home of her compaion,and orphants and find a vacate chair.She had many friends relatives to mourn her loss but cheer up dear morners mourn not as those that have no hope,death is but sepparation for a time but a stepping stone from earth to Heaven,our blessed Saviour said,she is not dead but sleepeth the change come July the 13th 1905,after 18,days sickness.By her Husband,Tenvil Washington DALTON. ==================================================================== USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
