23,1909 died-February 6,1929 -Fairlawn Cemetery Beckham County,Oklahoma -Son
of I.C.DALTON -COD:Epidemic---------- William Harvey DALTON was born
November 23,1909,in Texas.He died February 6,1929,at Clayton,New Mexico,at
the age of 19 years,2 months and 15 days.Funeral services were held at the
GENTRY-KILLOUGH Chapel February 8,at 2:30 p.m. Interment was made in
Fairlawn cemetery .GENTRY-KILLOUGH,directors,were in charge.The youth was
stricken with spinal menigitus the last day of January.He died the following
Wednesday in Clayton,N.M. He had been there since the first of the year and
was employed on a farm.The deceased boy had lived in Canute for a number of
years and was well known in that community.He is the son of I.C.DALTON of
Canute.Rev.W.T.LACKEY,pastor of the Methodist church at Canute,officiated at
the ceremony.Relatives who survive are his mother ,Mrs.I.C.DALTON;brothers
,Jess DALTON of Reeds,Oklahoma;Otis DALTON,Canute;Orba
DALTON,Carthage,MO.;and Garland DALTON of
Canute.Sisters,Mrs.W.O.WHITTENBURG,Wapato,Wash.;Mary CHERVENKA,Canute;Gladys
SMITH,Dill City,and Lillie Mae DALTON of Elk City.
