  Funeral services for Methius An-
drew Doran, 76, resident of this sec-
tion for 45 years, were held at 2:30
o'clock this afternoon at Killough-
Hullum funeral home with C. E.
McGaughey, minister of the Church
of Christ, and Dr. J. A. Jester, of-
ficiating.
  The aged man died Thursday aft-
ernoon at the home of his sister,
Mrs. Ella Nelson at First and Adams
streets.  He had been ill for two
years.
  Mr. Doran was married to his late
wife, Linnie Clegg, in Bell county,
Texas.  He is survived by eight chil-
dren, five of whom live at Summer-
ton, Ariz., and are Mrs. Lucy Gar-
den, Mrs. Maggie McDonald, Mrs.
Pearl Boydston, Lillie Doran and Jo-
seph Doran: Mrs. Lizzie McClung
of Silverton, Ore., Mrs. Martha Den-
ton of Wardsville and Martin Duran
of Ryan.
  Burial was made in the East
Fairlawn cemetery.
