The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** **** NOTES: FARQUHAR,H.G. b.1850 d.29 June 1928 b.Carter Cemetery Beckham County,Oklahoma *The CARTER EXPRESS 6 July 1928 ************************************************************ Mr.H.G.FARQUBAR,known by his friends and neighbors as"Dad,"FARQUHAR,lost his life last Friday night from the effect of injuries received in an accident on Tuesday previous when his frightened team ran over him.Mr.FARQUHAR was inside the field at his home northwest of Carter planting corn when the accident happened.Mr.Joe ARMBRUSTER'S team became frightened first while crossing a bridge and when his team ran away they ran close to Mr.FARQUHAR'S team as he was planting corn near the road.He was in front of the team when they first started to run.He was right badly crushed and bruised and only lived till friday night as stated above.Mr.FARQUHAR was 78 years of age at the time of his death.
