B. 12 Jun 1855 D. 2 Jun 1916 Sayre-Doxey Cemetery Beckham Co OK Mrs. E. M Terrell, residing north of Doxey was fatally burned Friday afternoon of last week. While burn- ing rubbish in the barnyard the barn caught on fire, and in attempting to extinguish the flames her clothing caught fire. Her son who was work- ing in a field near by, ran to the house when he saw the burning barn and later found his mother near the creek which she had evidently at- tempted to reach to extinguish the flames from her locthing. A physi- cian was immediately summoned, but ther body was so badly burned that death came to her relief Saturday morning. Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon and the remains were laid at rest in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Sayre Sun 8 Jun 1916 Mrs. M. C. Fairell, of Doxey, was fatally burned on Thrusday afternoon of last week while burning out some hen nests that were infected with mites in the barn. She had burned out the nests when the barn caught fire, and in attempting to put the fire out her clothing caught and she was sor severly burned that she died at 7:30 the next day. Deceased was 61 years of age and at the time of her death was living with a son near Doxey. Shw leaves 9 children to mourn her untimely and tragic death. she had been a resident of this country, about seven years and had many friends and relatives in the county. She was buried at the Sayre and Doxey cemetery Saturday. Carter Express 9 Jun 1916
