Howard Plowman officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Mr. Fowler died Thursday morning in his home following a 16-month long illness. He was born July 29, 1889 in Texas and came to Marlow with his parents. When he was 11, his family moved to Roger Mills County and he was married to Lorene McHullen on December 31, 1944, in Wheeler, Texas. A farmer and a rancher in Roger Mills county, he was employed in 1940 as the foreman of the Red Rock ranch. Upon his retirement in 1961, he moved to Elk City. Surviving are his wife, of the home; two sons, C.C. "Buster" Fowler, of Sentinel and Orville Fowler of Clinton; one daughter, Mrs. Irene French of Odessa, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 1967
