The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** *Note*FULTON,SOFORNA BURSE (THOMPSON) b. 24 Oct 1849 m.8 Jan 1870 d.20 Oct 1932 buried Carter Cemetery d/o James T. ************************************************************ Lacking three days of her eighty third birthday,Mrs.Sofora Burse FULTON died at her home here Friday afternoon after an illness of two months.Final rites for the aged woman were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence in the southwest part of the city with Rev.L.E.Shaw pastor of the Church of the Nazarene,officiating.Mrs.FULTON was born October 24,1849,in Arkansas.She was married to J.A.FULTON January 8,1870,at Palestine,Texas.She came with her family to Oklahoma 35 years ago and has been a resident of this county for over 30 years. Surviving Mrs.FULTON are three children,two sons and a daughter.These are Mrs.Sarah B.WAYLAND,Lem FULTON and Fulton,all of this city. Burial was made in the Carter cemetery.KILLOUGH-HULLUM funeral directors were in charge.
