ABERNATHY, JAMES LEE
(25 Sep 1919, Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
JAMES LEE ABERNATHY
James Lee Abernathy, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Abernathy, died at
their home Thursday, Sept. 18.  Age 3 years, 10 months, 7 days.  Funeral
services were conducted at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
by Rev. O. A. Pankey.  Interment at East Fairlawn.
James Lee Abernathy, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Abernathy was born at
Elk City, Okla., November 11th 1915, and died at the home north of this
city, September 18th 1919, age 3 years 10 months and 7 days.  James Lee
has been a little sufferer the most of his life, and was given the utmost
attention day and night by the doting parents and little sisters.  In the
past year he had become stronger, and was the pride of the family in his
little boy suits.
Many friends and relatives attended the funeral services conducted by Rev.
Pankey and accompanied the remains of the little one to his final resting
place, only to await the great day when we who remain shall be caught up
with him in the air.
The deepest sympathy of the many friends is extended to the bereaved ones.
