The death of Mrs. W. J. Addington of Hammon, last Tuesday night, was very sad to her many friends and relatives. She was a sister of H. D. Cobb of this city, and her uncles and aunts, S. L. Galloway and wife of Watonga, and D. E. Galloway and wife of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Fannie McCall of Norman, and other near relatives were there and witnessed her passing away. Mrs. Addington, although knowing she must die soon, was very happy to the last and always spoke cheerfully of the future with her maker. Her death was due to influenza which she contracted about a month ago, before the birth of a baby boy, who is now doing well, and she died of blood poisoning eight days after child birth. The funeral was held at Hammon Wednesday afternoon. Besides the baby, she left three children and her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Cobb brought the baby here to take care of it and keep it under the doctor's care. Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Galloway of Watonga will likely adopt the baby.
