All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ ANDERSON, DANIEL (13 Dec 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Daniel Anderson was born in Ohio, Aug. 25, 1848 and departed this life Dec. 2, 1928. He was 80 years, 3 months and 7 days old. When about seven years old he came with his parents to Benton county, Ia., and grew to manhood near Blairstown, Iowa. He was married to Louisa Parr, July 3, 1871, at Maringo, Iowa. To this union four children were born in Benton county, Ia. He moved with his family to Carrol county, Iowa, in 1882, and lived near Coon Rapids, Iowa, till 1900. He moved to Washita county, Okla., that year and bought a relinquishment nine miles south of Canute; living there until nine years ago, when he moved to Canute. On Sept. 13 of this year he moved to Clinton, Okla. His last illness was caused by heart disease with complications. He was sick just a month. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss, all of whom were by his bedside constantly during his illness. Mr. Anderson was one of fifteen children, all of whom have passed to the other side but two. A brother, ninety years old, at Auburn, Nebr., and a sister, seventy-eight years old, at Omaha, Nebr., survive. He was laid to rest in the Clinton cemetery. - Clinton Daily News.
