ANDREWS, GEORGE Sr.
(30 July 1903, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
George Andrews, Sr., died at his home at Hammon July 22, 1903, age 66
years, 8 months and days (sic), from the effects of sun-stroke.
He was born in Serfield, Mass., moved from there, at the age of 10, to
Illinois; from there to Minnesota, from there to Pikes Peak, and thence to
Illinois, where he married Catherine Miller October 8, 1761 (sic). He went
to Texas in 1872, and from there to Greer county, Oklahoma, and moved to
Hammon in 1895.
He leaves a wife, four sons and three daughters, to whom we extend our
heart's sympathy in the hour of sore distress.
