ARMSTRONG, JOSEPHINE
(8 Mar 1917, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY OF MRS. FRANK ARMSTRONG
Josephine Stewart was born August 8, 1863, in Louise county, Iowa.  She
was married to Frank Armstrong August 12, 1889 in Graham county, Kansas.
Whereas, "God in His great wisdom" saw it to call from this life, our
sister and neighbor, Mrs. Josephine Armstrong, on the 22nd day of
February, 1917, to fill a more important place in the realms above, the
members of the Prairie View Missionary Baptist Church of Beckham county,
of which she was a member, and though the hand of the Grim Reaper which
spares neither youth nor age, high nor low, rich nor poor, we remember as
a true faithful sister, a loving wife, a kind mother, and a true friend to
all who needed help and sympathy.
The members of this church, desire to extend their sympathy to her family
and other relatives, in the loss of one of their number, whose place is
now vacant.  We will miss her presence and assistance in our meetings.
Therefore be it resolved: That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon
the memorial page of our church book, setting forth these sentiments of
our appreciation of her worth, and be it further resolved that a copy be
presented to her bereaved family and loved ones and published in the
county papers.
