Expressions of sympathy to the heart broken parents were heard everywhere. Funeral services were held late Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church, the pastor, C. H. Lemmex, officiating. The choir sang, "Asleep in Jesus." Mr. R. L. Reid and Mrs. Wm. Francis sang "Whispering Hope" and Mrs. W. O. Gibbs sang "Trusting." Many beautiful flowers were sent by relatives, friends, the Christian Church members and Sunday School. Little Adelia looked so beautiful in death - just as if only asleep. The pall bearers were friends of Nadine, the older sister, and were Eugenia Brown, Helen Gould, Imogene Scannell and Janice Faust. Little Adelia was a beautiful child, the pet of relatives and friends and had seemingly been in perfect health on Saturday, playing around in the home with her baby sister and little brother, and her going away so suddenly at these happy holiday times seemed so sad, and only those of us who have had a like experience can realize the heart aches that come as each Christmas passes by, for no matter how happy a time the children in the home are having the memory of the vacant chair never leaves the hearts of the parents. But there is the beautiful thought that Jesus says "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not" and when we have the faith that all is well if He is leading, one can place their hand in His and say "Thy will be done" even though the heart is torn because of being separated. Adelia will spend Christmas in Heaven and we cannot help but think of the beautiful time she is now having with her Jesus she was taught to love and with the hosts of little ones who are there.
