(31 Mar, 1922, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. COBB'S FATHER DIED SATURDAY.
In response to a wire telling the sudden death of her father, S. D. Bain
of West Plains, Mo., Mrs. H. D. Cobb left here Wednesday noon for the
funeral.
Mrs. Cobb had heard nothing of the illness of her father, and the shock
was great.  Mr. Bain had for years operated a store in West Plains, and
here Mr. and Mrs. Cobb were married at the old Bain home.
