Mrs. G. E. Pinkerton received word Sunday of the death of her brother-in-law, George Baker, husband of her sister, formerly Pearl Lying. On account of having just returned from her father's funeral at Canadian, Texas, she and her brother, Ola Lyng (sic), were unable to go to Enid to funeral which was held there Tuesday. Mrs. P. C. Pinkerton and Walter Lyng went to the funeral. Mr. Baker died in California where he had gone with a cousin on a trip thinking the change of climate would be beneficial to him, though he was not ill. Being subject to acute indigestion, it is thought that was the cause of his death; though full particulars were not given and his death was a great shock to all.
