(25 Jan 1917, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF T. J. BAKER. Word was received here Tuesday of the death of T. J. Baker, who lived near Foss but who was well known to our citizens. He died at the Clinton hospital where he had undergone an operation for appendicitis. His funeral will be conducted today at 1 o'clock at the home, and interment made at the Page cemetery, beside the grave of his wife who died eight years ago. This cemetery is situated on the home place of Mr. Baker. He was a member of the A. F. & A. M. lodge at Foss, who had charge of the burial exercises. Deceased was sixty-five years of age and had lived out here for fifteen years. His daughters, Mrs. Lula Switzer of Missouri, and Mrs. Ray Wallace of Hot Springs, Ark., were with him when he passed away. Mr. Baker was an uncle of T. J. Harris of Elk City.
