J. BALDWIN DEAD Thomas J. BALDWIN was born in Rhonoake county, Virginia, August 3, 1850, moved to Ray County Missouri, in early life, was married to Miss Mary J. ROARK, Oct. 22, 1871; to this union two children were born, Walter M. and Fannie M. His first wife died years ago and he was again married to Mrs. Emma LOGAN September 6, 1885, to this union three children were born, Melvin R., Paul E. and Nellie Grace. Mr. BALDWIN united with the Christian Church at South Point, Ray County, Missouri, in 1875, died at his home in Elk City July 14, 1908. He leaves a wife, five children, a host of relatives and friends. Mr. BALDWIN came here among the first settlers and was one of the men who helped to develop this country and make it what it is today. At his death Elk City loses one of her best, and most highly respected citizens. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church today, conducted by Elder L. A. UTLEY, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Elk City cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
