BARKER, DOROTHEA M.
(30 May 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BARKER FUNERAL HERE TOMORROW.  Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothea Barker,
wife of Virgil Barker, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the
First Baptist church, members of the family announced today.  Services
will be conducted by Rev. H. W. Shirley, pastor of the church.
Mrs. Barker died Thursday, May 29, in a sanitarium at Woodward where she
had been for three weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Barker with five children have lived on a farm two miles
north of the city for the past seven months, coming here from Ft. Smith,
Arkansas.  With the exception of one daughter, who will arrive tomorrow,
the couple's children, two daughters and three sons, still live here.
Interment will be made in the Fairlawn cemetery with Killough-Hullum,
funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
