Mrs. W. H. Barnett. Zora Pride, daughter of Sarah and Henry Pride, was born December 4, 1861, in Louisiana. She passed away at her home near Port Community after a short illness of pneumonia, November 30, 1926, at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 18 days. She was united in marriages to W. H. Barnett in 1881. They resided a few years in Arkansas, moving to Oklahoma thirty years ago, settling in the Port Community. Nine children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy, and all but one son was with her at the time of her death. Mrs. Barnett had twenty grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church of which she was a member in Port Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. N. Campbell, who used the twenty-first chapter of Revelations for his text and for his subject, "Mother, Home and Heaven." Music was furnished by the church choir. Among the songs that were sung were "When the Roll is Called up Yonder" which was a favorite of Mrs. Barnett and one that she asked her youngest daughter to play and which she sang just the week before she died. The deceased leaves to mourn her departure her husband, W. H. Barnett, seven children, Mrs. Leona Thurman, Mrs. Ted Irvine, Mrs. Frank Lemons, Mrs. Anna? Lowery, Mrs. W. E. Forrister, Orien Barnett, all of Port and R. M. Barnett of Taft, California, two sisters, Mrs. Abe McDonald of Carter and Mrs. Law Trammell of Gotebo and two brothers, Jim Pride of Manning, Texas, and Elbert Pride of Arkansas. These, together with a great host of other relatives and a great many friends, will remember kindly the loved ones gone home from earth to heaven.
