(9 Oct 1907, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Phil Sollers who left here a few years ago for Alaska, returned last
Friday.  He was employed on a government trail there.  His purpose is to
return in a few months.  His nephew, Ed Bartlet (sic) is with him and will
return with his uncle.
The death of Mr. Sollers' sister, Mrs. J. W. Bartlett at Valdez, Alaska,
and bringing the body to Seattle, Washington, for interment is the
occasion of their visit to this country.  They are well pleased with their
residence in Alaska, hence their return after the lapse of time of their
visit.  Phil is a son of Isaac Sollers so well known here as a mail route
contractor in early days.
