BAXTER, LORENE
(30 Aug 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham co, OK):
DEATH OF LORENE BAXTER.  Grandview and surrounding community mourns the
loss of little Lorene Baxter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Baxter, who
was taken sick last Monday night and was serious Tuesday and the rest of
the week, passing away early Monday morning of cloritis after nearly a
week of suffering.  Everything that medical skill and loving hearts and
hands could do was done but she was called to mansions above.
Lorene Hope Baxter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Baxter was born
September 26, 1921, died August 27, 1923, age one year, eleven months and
one day.
Beautiful floral wreaths and boquets (sic) covered and banked the
beautiful white casket, showing love of many, many friends.  She leaves to
mourn, a father and mother, a sister and brother, four granparents (sic)
and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral was preached at Grandview cemetery by Rev. Carman of Elk City and
she was laid to rest beneath many beautiful flowered wreaths.  Many, many
friends attended the funeral.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for the kindness and sympathy
shown us during the recent illness and death of our little daughter and
grandaughter.  Also thank the doctor and Grubitz & Son for their services.
