His remains were laid to rest in the Dempsey grave yard Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. The following Monday night at one o'clock his sister Carrie died and at four in the morning his brother Charlie died. Seemed as though the "Death Angle (sic)" hovered over their house until it claimed three of them in a weeks time and almost claimed the mother, but she battled through and is able to sit up a little now. Little Charlie was a bright little boy 7 years old, was kind and always willing to obey. He and his sister Carrie were laid side by side in the same grave. Miss Carrie age 15 years 7 months and 19 days. The funeral services were held at the Dempsey school house, Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, conducted by Rev. Martain. A bunch of paper flowers presented by a friend were in her hand and looked quite pretty. The services concluded the handsome casket containing the remains of her and her brother were accompanied by the beloved father and two brothers and a host of friends was taken to the graveyard where the bodies were laid away to await the resurrection morn. While she had been ill for some time her death was not sudden. All that loving hands could do was done for her. While yet in the flower of her youth and usefullness she was cut down. The faces of strong men show sorrow and the voices of women are filled with sobs, the heart rending cries of loved ones fall not on unsympathetic ears. Hers was a most genial nature. There was no school at Dempsey the latter part of last week on account of the death of two of the scholars. Henry Beierschmitt's brother from Oklahoma City is visiting him.
