Mrs. Susana Berrie was born in Ohio, May 26, 1843. When a girl she moved to Iowa where she married and with her husband moved to Nebraska and lived there until in 1890, they moved to Texas, and from Texas they moved to Oklahoma in 1894. They have lived in and about Dill until Mr. Berrie's death in 1913, since then Mrs. Berrie has made her home with her children. Grandmother has been in poor health for a number of years, however she has been able to be up and around. About nineteen days before her death she was stricken with inflamatory rheumatism, and from the first of her affliction there was but little hope of her recovery, and she gradually grew worse until she died February 17th. She was laid to rest in the South Burns cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. R. Richey. Mother Berrie is survived by three sons and two daughters, Rev. S. A. Berrie of Jefferson, Texas; D. A. Berrie, Erick, Okla.; Mrs. L. C. Smith of Mt. Carroll, Ill; H. F. Berrie and Mrs. E. M. Walker, both of Dill, Okla., besides a number of grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her death. All the children were present when the end came, except one daughter who could not come on account of quarantine of her town. Grandmother Berrie was converted in her early childhood, and for a number of years she has been identified with the Holiness people. During the hardships and trying problems of life she has kept in mind that this world is not her home, that there was a better city, that heavenly, which hath foundations whose builder and maker is God. We extend to the bereaved ones our sympathy, and hope that during the lonely hours the voice of God may be heard, that He may bless and comfort their hearts. CARD OF THANKS We the undersigned wish to express our appreciation to all who have so kindly assisted during the sickness and death of our mother. May the blessings of God rest upon all. H. F. Berrie and family. S. A. Berrie and family. D. A. Berrie and family. Mrs. D. D. Walker and family. Mrs. L. C. Smith and children.
