Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Jo Ann Berry was born May 31, 1939 at Wilson to Virgil and Oma Dee Stanley Lewallen and died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at the age of 62. She attended Wilson and Barnsdall Schools before moving with her family to Elk City where she attended Elk City Schools. Jo Ann was married to J.W. Berry on March 7, 1957 at Wheeler, Texas. They have lived in Elk City all of their married life. Mrs. Berry has worked for the Sonic Corporation for some 35 years. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, J.W. Berry of the Elk City Home; two daughters, Connie Jo Streater and husband Don of Wewoka, Regina Kay Savage and husband Joe of Wichita, Kansas; her mother, Oma Dee Lewallen of Elk City; seven brothers and sisters, Yvonne Wilson of Elk City, Carolyn Sue Eggleston of Pampa, Texas, Gene Lewallen of Elk City, Charles Lewallen of Canton, Terry Lewallen of Wheeler, Texas and Randy Lewallen of Elk City; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
