Dec 1984: BLANN, LESTER WILLIAM Lester William Blann, 72, was born October 12, 1912, in Woodward County near Fargo, Okla. to Otis and Mary Blann. Lester passed from this life Sunday morning, December 2, 1984, in the Christian Hospital Medical Center, Riverside, Calif. Memorial services were conducted by the Temple Baptist Church, Perris, Calif. where he was a member. Burial was in Perris Valley Cemetery. Lester moved with his parents to Cheyenne, Okla. in 1920 at the age of 7 years, where he attended school and grew to young manhood. Lester Blann and Claribel Fuston were married July 4, 1933 at Cheyenne and they later moved to Tempe, Ariz., then to San Diego, Calif., where he worked in Consolidated Aircraft Factory. In 1940 he moved his family to Perris, Calif., where he lived for 45 years. Lester worked for the Perris Valley Cemetery for over 27 years and was Cemetery Manager before he retired. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert Blann, two brothers: Dorral and Ray Blann. He is survived by his wife, Claribel of the home, four sons: David and Bill, Perris, Calif., Lewis of Anza, Calif., and Martin of Indio, Calif.; one brother John Blann of Williford, Ark.; two sisters, Violet Stricker of Woodward, Okla., Viola Burns of Cheyenne, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and one great greatson. Westley's Mission Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
