Mr. Leverton Ross Bohler was born in Geursey County, Ohio, April 14, 1850. Came with his parents to Iowa when four years of age, where he resided until December 1904 when he moved to Custer County, Oklahoma, he moved from there to Elk City, Oklahoma in 1906. He was married to Miss Sadie M. McBurney on March 2, 1882. To this union was born three children, Mrs. John Henderson, Mrs. Mattie Utt and Miss Norma Bohler, all who reside in Elk City. He united with the Presbyterian church in Onslow Iowa in 1894, of which he lived a consistent member till his death June 23, 1909. The funeral was held at the residence north of the central school building June 23, 1909, at 3 P.M. by Rev. B. G. Taylor, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. A large number of friends were at the funeral and also followed the remains to the Elk City Cemetery where he was laid to rest. The family requested the pastor to express their sincere thanks to the friends that have shown so much sympathy and helped in this time of need. The voice of father and husband will be heard no more, his friends will not feel the warm touch of his hand, but may the friends of the family continue to show their sympathy. He cannot be called back from the realms from which no one comes to meet again the shattered hopes of this world and the disappointments, but the family can so live that they will meet him in the great beyond.
