All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BONDS, LOY (30 Aug 1911, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Loy Bond (sic) died at the home of his brother Wm. Bond (sic) in this city last Thursday night after a lingering illness of several months duration. He was taken sick at his fathers home 9 miles west of town on the 16th day of last October, with what was pronounced appendicitus (sic), he was removed to Elk City where he could receive medical treatment daily but all to no avail. He gradually grew worse. Complications set which baffled the physicians though a few months ago he for a time was better and able to walk about. Later other complications set in and he grew worse until death came to his relief on the date above stated. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hall, Baptist Evangelist, at the home Friday morning after which the body was taken to the Berlin cemetery for burial. He leaves besides his parents, five brothers and six sisters, all were present except one sister. He was a brother of Wm. Bond, of this city, Lewis of west of town, Mrs. Dan Armstrong of Foss, Mrs. C. E. Guymon of west of town and Mrs. R. Baker of Hollis, Oklahoma.
