All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BREEZE, HARVEY (The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham, Ok, Wed Nov 13, 1996) Harvey Breeze. Harvey Breeze was born February 17, 1918 in Carter, Ok to Agnes Rebecca and Edgar Lee Breeze and died Tuesday in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center at the age of 78 years. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at the Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Ray Smart. Interment will be in the Carter Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Harvey attended Kempton and Carter Schools. He married Oleta (Renfro) on October 10, 1936 in Carter. Harvey and Oleta farmed in and around this area until 1944 when they moved into Sayre. Harvey went to work for the Northfork Rural Electric Coop. on August 14, 1944. He served as an employee and lineman and later line superintendent for 17 years. On January 1, 1961, Harvey became manager of the company and served in this capacity until his retirement in January of 1980. During these years, he served on various committees for the different Coop. organizations and attended many national conventions. After retirement, Harvey and Oleta farmed in the Carter area before moving in April of 1984 into Elk City, where they have resided since. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leo and Henry. Survivors include his wife, Oleta of the home; five sisters, Rosie Johnson, Flora Thompson, Letha Bullard and husband Lee, Mary Mullinex, Dorothy Loyd all of Elk City; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Breeze Smith of Leedey, and Marlene Breeze of Sayre; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
